Wrinkle Jump Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 26, 2026

Wrinkle Jump (“the game”) is made by Dakota Unrau (“I”, “me”) for iPhone and Android. This policy explains what the game collects, why, and how you can delete it. The short version: the game only collects what it needs to run the global leaderboard, keep your koban coins, items and home safe, and deliver coin packs you buy. There are no ads, no tracking and no selling of data.

What the game collects

When you play online, the game sends the following to its server:

  • A random account ID. The first time you play online, the game creates an anonymous account for your device. It isn’t linked to your name, email, Apple ID, Google account or phone number unless you choose to sign in (below).
  • The player name you choose. It’s shown publicly on the leaderboard, so please don’t use your real name.
  • Your score and run details: score, time played, rows climbed, Treat Toobz and koban collected and zoomies used. These are used to rank you and to catch cheating.
  • Your cat’s appearance: the colours, pattern and shape you pick in the Cat Studio, and the clothes it’s wearing, so your cat can appear next to your score.
  • Your coins and items: how many koban coins you’ve collected and spent, and which shop items you own, so they’re kept safe and follow you between runs.
  • Coin pack purchases: if you buy koban with real money, the game receives the store’s purchase record: Apple’s transaction ID (iPhone) or Google Play’s purchase token (Android), which pack you bought, and when. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google: the game never sees your card or payment details. Each purchase is checked with Apple or Google so the coins are added exactly once, and refunded purchases are taken back.
  • Sign in with Apple or Google (optional): if you tap Sign in with Apple (iPhone) or Sign in with Google (Android) in Settings, your account is linked to your Apple ID or Google account, so your progress can be restored on a new phone. The game then receives a private account identifier and an email address from Apple or Google (and, from Google, the name and profile picture link on your Google account, which the game doesn’t use or show). On iPhone you can choose Apple’s “Hide My Email”, which gives a private relay address instead of your real one. Your email is never shown publicly, and the game never emails you. If the same email address is already used by another Wrinkle Jump save (for example, you signed in with Apple on an iPhone using the same address), the game offers to switch to that save, so one save can be shared between your devices.
  • Cloud save (only while signed in): the game keeps a copy of your home (furniture, rugs, lights, walls, floor and curtains), your pet’s hunger and happiness, your cat’s look, your unlocks, your player name and your best score on the server, so they come back on a new phone too.
  • The game version and your device type (for example “iOS” or “Android”), to help fix problems.

Like any internet service, the server provider also receives your device’s IP address when the game connects. It’s used only to deliver the service and protect it from abuse.

What the game does not collect

Unless you choose Sign in with Apple or Google, the game does not collect any email address. It never collects your contacts, photos, location, advertising identifiers or browsing history. It shows no ads, uses no analytics or tracking tools, and never sells or shares your data for advertising.

How the data is used

The data is used only to:

  • show the global leaderboard, including your name, score, rank and cat;
  • keep the leaderboard fair by checking scores and blocking cheating and offensive names;
  • keep your koban, items, home and coin pack purchases safe, and restore them if you signed in;
  • keep the service running and fix problems.

Who it is shared with

Your data is never sold. It’s shared only with the services the game needs to work:

  • Supabase (supabase.com), the cloud database provider that hosts the game’s server and stores the data above.
  • Apple and Google, only to check coin pack purchases and refunds, and to sign you in if you choose to.

Your settings, best score, home and cat design are also saved on your own device.

Public information

Your player name, score, rank and cat’s appearance (including its outfit) are visible to everyone on the leaderboard. Offensive names are filtered, and entries may be removed if they break the rules.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your data is kept until you delete it. You can delete it in two ways:

  • In the game: open Settings (the gear button) and tap Delete my data twice. This permanently deletes your online account, your leaderboard entry, your submission history, your cloud save, your koban coins and your shop items (including anything bought with real money), and unlinks your Apple ID or Google account.
  • By email: if you no longer have the game installed, email wrinklejump@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my data” and your player name (and, if you signed in, the email address of your Apple ID or Google account). Your data will be deleted within 30 days and you’ll get a reply when it’s done.

A record of each real-money purchase (the store’s transaction ID or purchase token, the pack and the date, no longer linked to you) is kept, because Apple and Google can still report refunds and it’s needed for accounting. Deleting the app removes the data saved on your device, but not your online data.

Children

The game doesn’t ask for any personal information to play. Signing in with Apple or Google is optional and is meant for players old enough to have their own account. Please choose a player name that doesn’t reveal who you are. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and it will be deleted.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
